Prenatal & Postnatal Care
and Postpartum Recovery
Pregnancy, birth, and life after having a baby can be both exciting and overwhelming — and no two women experience it the same way. Your body is changing, your needs are shifting, and it’s common to feel unsure about what support is right for you. At Create Your Core, we specialize in supporting women through every stage of this journey with evidence-based care, education, and movement. While discomforts like pain, leakage, pressure, or weakness are common, they should not be dismissed or accepted as something you just have to “live with.” Our goal is to help you understand what your body needs, address concerns early, and support you in feeling strong, confident, and prepared — during pregnancy, through birth, and long after. We offer a wide range of prenatal and postpartum services, and most women begin with a one-on-one pelvic floor physical therapy evaluation. From there, your physical therapist helps determine the most appropriate path forward, whether that includes continued physical therapy, pregnancy or postpartum programming, fitness classes, or personal training. Our goal is to ensure you feel fully supported with a plan that meets you where you are — and evolves with you over time.

1:1 PELVIC FLOOR PHYSICAL THERAPY
Pelvic floor physical therapy is the foundation of our prenatal and postpartum care. Every woman’s body, history, and goals are different, which is why we begin with a comprehensive one-on-one evaluation.

During your initial assessment, we perform a full-body movement screen, assess core and pelvic floor function, address symptoms such as pain, leakage, pressure, or weakness, and discuss your goals for pregnancy, birth, and recovery. From there, we develop a clear plan of care focused on improving strength, coordination, mobility, and confidence in your body.
Pelvic floor physical therapy can support you during pregnancy, prepare you for labor and delivery, and help you recover after birth — whether you are weeks, months, or years postpartum.

Empowered for Birth is an education-based, interactive program designed to help women feel informed, prepared, and confident as they approach labor and delivery. This experience goes beyond traditional birth education by blending movement, breathing, pelvic floor awareness, and hands-on learning. This program is led by a collaborative team that includes a pelvic floor physical therapist, Dr. Jennifer Penn; Certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor and Pre/Postnatal Movement Specialist, Emily Pareti; and Certified Birth Doula and Lactation Specialist, Cheryl Klugmann. Together, through workshops and classes, we focus on movement strategies, breathing techniques, pelvic floor awareness, labor positioning, and understanding medical interventions so you can make informed decisions throughout your birth experience.
Empowered for Birth is appropriate for all trimesters and pairs well with pelvic floor physical therapy and prenatal movement. The goal is not just preparation, but confidence — helping you trust your body and feel supported every step of the way.
EMPOWERED FOR BIRTH
Stronger After Baby is a 6-week postpartum program designed for women approximately 6 weeks to 1 year after delivery who are ready to rebuild strength and reconnect with their bodies in a safe, supportive way.
This program is run in small-group cohorts and taught by a pelvic floor physical therapist, allowing for hands-on guidance, individualized attention, and proper rehabilitation. Sessions focus on restoring deep core and pelvic floor function, improving mobility and posture, addressing pain or pressure, and gradually rebuilding strength with intention.
Classes are baby- and toddler-friendly for those who need it, but they’re also welcoming for women who prefer to attend on their own. The small-group setting provides both expert oversight and a sense of community, and many women transition from Stronger After Baby into our Strong As A Mother semi-private fitness classes or one-on-one personal training to continue their progress.
STRONG AS A MOTHER SEMI-PRIVATE FITNESS
Strong As A Mother is a semi-private fitness class created for women who want to feel strong, capable, and confident in their bodies — whether they are building strength safely during pregnancy, returning to exercise after postpartum rehab or picking things back up months or even years after having a baby.
This class combines mobility, strength training, core work, and conditioning — all with a strong emphasis on pelvic floor health and functional movement.
Classes are baby- and toddler-friendly for those who need it, but they’re just as welcoming if you prefer to come on your own. Strong As A Mother is ideal for women who feel ready to exercise but want guidance, structure, and reassurance that they are doing things the right way. You’ll receive expert coaching, thoughtful progressions, and the accountability of a small group — all in a supportive environment where women at different stages are welcomed and encouraged.

1:1 PERSONAL TRAINING
One-on-one personal training is for women who want focused support and individualized guidance as they move through pregnancy, postpartum, or back into regular exercise — or for those whose schedules don’t align with our class or workshop times.
Training is always guided through a pelvic floor–informed approach. We pay close attention to how you move, breathe, and load your body so exercises feel supportive rather than overwhelming. Sessions may focus on rebuilding strength, improving mobility, increasing endurance, or preparing your body for the physical demands of daily life — lifting, carrying, and keeping up with your family.
This option is especially helpful if you prefer one-on-one attention, have specific goals, or need flexibility in scheduling. You’ll leave each session knowing exactly what you’re working on and why, with clear direction that helps you feel confident both in and out of the studio.
